From October 2022 to July 2023, I achieved my Master of Arts in Animation at Leeds Arts University. Through the 10 months at LAU, I created a Project Bible, Animatic, Research Portfolio, and Short Film for my final project called Coyote Ollie. The film was animated in Toon Boom Harmony Advanced within 10 weeks. Before the making of the film, I didn't have any experience with Toon Boom. Ultimately, I wanted to take the leap of learning a new software that is industry standard. Since graduating, I've been in the process of learning Toon Boom Harmony Premium with a concentration on rigging.
The Project Bible includes the film synopsis, character descriptions, image references, character designs, script, concept art, and the production schedule.
The Research Portfolio contains a few pieces of colorless concept art from Coyote Ollie. By experimenting with color palettes from famous children's animated television shows such as Peppa Pig, Little Bear, Sarah and Duck, and Hilda, I was able to create my own color palette inspired by these shows while still pertaining to the PNW environment.
